The Rays will lock horns against the formidable Yankees on Tuesday and both teams are placed at No.2 and No. 1 in the AL East respectively. Tampa Bay comes with a 9-11 advantage and the Yankees will be keen to even those numbers. The big question for them will be if they can extend their lead when the two teams meet for the three-match series. Here's all you need to know about the upcoming East clash:

Time

Rays vs Yankees will take the pitch at 7.05 pm ET on Tuesday, August 18.

Venue

The game is slated to take place at the Yankee Stadium, New York.

FOX Sports SUN and ESPN will be televising the game live. Fans can also listen to it on WDAE 620 AM/95.3 FM, WGES 680, WADO 1280, and WFAN 660/101.9 FM.

The Yankees have five wins their pockets after sweeping the Braves and the Red Sox.  The Yankees’ last series loss came against the Rays took three of four from New York. According to Winners and Whiners' prediction, 31-year-old Masahiro Tanaka as he boasts of a 10-4 overall record, 3.07 ERA in 19 career starts against the Rays. Tampa Bay will also be counting on Blake Snell to pitch in with some performances to have the edge over their rivals.

Who will win?

As much as the Yankees are favored to win this series, Tampa Bay has been in scorching form. Ruling them out would be a bad call and Snell will be the difference. For now, we'll go with the Rays to draw first blood in the three-game series.
