'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Season 39: Fans feel blindsided after Tom is voted out, call it Lairo tribe's 'worst decision ever'
'Survivor: Island of the Idols' season 39 returned to our screens on Wednesday night, and Tom was voted off during tribal council, and fans claim that it was the worst mistake Lairo has ever done.
With the competition getting tough by the minute, the Lairo tribe has won only one challenge ever since the season premiered. And on tonight's episode titled 'Don't Bite The Hand That Feeds You', we saw the Lairo tribe make another mistake by voting out Tom instead of Karishma. Though this elimination wasn't a blindside when it came to the tribal council, it was more like a blindside for the viewers and for Idols - Sandra Diaz and Boston Rob Marino, who claim with Tom out of the competition, it's tough luck for Lairo, and they will stand no chance against the Vokai.
Fans claim they expected Karishma to get eliminated since she was the root cause of Lairo losing both the reward challenge and immunity challenge. Taking to Twitter post the episode, fans revealed their disappointment with the Lairo tribe after they voted out Tom just because he was old, and had a connection with the former Lairo tribe members who are now in Vokai.
"This Lairo tribe is losing every challenge and sends Tom home instead of Karishma? DUMB AF," shared a fan. While another added, "I don’t understand the vote. You have an easy way to make your tribe stronger now but u vote out Tom because he has friends on the other side come the merge, that u might not even make it to?? #Survivor."
"I feel like the blindside tonight was on the viewers. No idea Tom would be going home #Survivor," wrote a fan. Adding to that another said, "Wow, this group is the dumbest group... how is Karishma still around?! “They’ll never win a tribe now”... exactly. Why would you get rid of Tom? #Survivor."
