'Supergirl' Season 5 Episode 4 'Dangerous Liason' will see Kara and William team up to thwart a terror plot

Technology has threatened to be a dangerous foe for the Girl of Steel this season so far and with this episode, it sure seems that tech will be the new enemy for the Kryptonian

The CW has released the official synopsis for episode four of 'Supergirl' season five titled 'Dangerous Liaisons'. The fourth chapter slated to air on November 3 sees Kara (Melissa Benoist) team up with William (Staz Nair) to thwart a terror plot, while Alex and Kelly get some quality time together.

Technology has threatened to be a dangerous foe for the Girl of Steel this season and with this episode, it sure seems that tech will be the new enemy for the Kryptonian.

It also seems like the episode will delve more on the Alex-Kelly relationship, however, we're yet to see what meta-human the team would face. In episode three, Kara took on a meta-human named Caroline O'Connor, a former sniper. She had an alien life form attached to her that uses people as hosts.

The official synopsis reads: "A NEW DANGER ARISES – On the eve of the worldwide launch of Andrea Rojas' (Julie Gonzalo) VR contact lenses, Kara (Melissa Benoist) and William (Staz Nair) team up on an investigation that exposes a terrorist plot."

"Kelly (Azie Tesfai) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) celebrate an anniversary, but Alex's safety is in jeopardy. Alysse Leite-Rogers directed the episode written by Rob Wright and Daniel Beaty," the synopsis added.

Rojas' VR Lenses have been a key part of the storyline since the season opener and it was revealed that she had given a pair to Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) as well.

However, the new editor of CatCo takes them back from her when she realizes that Lena is trying to steal the lenses and she had installed trackers as a safety measure.

The season's first half will also slowly build-up to the 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' — a mega, multiverse-shattering battle.  In addition, this is the plotline where Kara and team Supergirl square off against the Leviathan, a mysterious criminal organization.

'Supergirl' airs Sundays at 9 pm on The CW.
