'Minions: The Rise of Gru' released a TV spot, revealing that the full trailer will be out on Wednesday. The upcoming film is a sequel to the largely successful 2015 flick, 'Minions'. The movies are spin-offs to 'Despicable Me' that shifts focus towards the antagonist, Steve Carell's Gru, his minion sidekicks and daughters.

The first installment was more of an origin tale featuring Sandra Bullock as Scarlet Overkill, the villainess. The Minions meet Scarlet Overkill first at Villain-Con and eventually the relationship between the two ends on a sour note.

The film ended with Gru being introduced and the sequel will be about Gru's journey to becoming the villain. The first bit of video that was released at the Super Bowl looks like it will be a fun time for the Minions. In addition to the TV spot, Illumination shared a new poster for the movie as well.

Directed by Kyle Balda and Brad Abelson, 'Minions: The Rise of Gru' is scheduled to release in July.
