Student drug dealers spared jail because judge was impressed with the grammar in their text messages
21-year-old Brandon Kerrison and 19-year-old Luke Rance were sentenced to community service for their crimes
A judge spared a pair of student drug dealers from serving time in jail because he was impressed by the "spelling and grammar" of the texts where they advertised their products.
Twenty one-year-old Brandon Kerrison and 19-year-old Luke Rance were arrested after getting caught distributing marijuana, a class B drug, outside a Swansea library in December 2017. Officers found seven bags of cannabis in a rucksack along with a small quantity of cocaine on them, and on searching Rance's bedroom, found another two large bags of cannabis worth more than £1,200 ($1,510).
They were expected to receive a few years in jail but were sentenced to community service by Judge David Hale at the Swansea Crown Court.
