'Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2: Will Caleb McLaughlin's Lucas die in the finale?
Such has been the buzz around the deaths of key characters in 'Stranger Things' Season 4 Volume 2 that almost every cast member is a candidate for kicking the bucket. The latest actor to be looked at as the next casualty is Caleb McLaughlin who plays Lucas on the hit Netflix show. This theory takes the focus away from Joe Keery's Steve Harrington who has been one of the prime candidates to bite the dust by the end of the season.
The show ended on a massive cliffhanger in Volume 1. The teaser of Volume 2 suggests that the group will be divided into different groups and the team of Max, Lucas, and Erica will be heading to Victor Creel’s house to investigate, and perhaps that might be the instance when Vecna just might get the better of the teen. One of the theories on Reddit suggested that Lucas might be a major character not returning in Season 5.

Here's what the theory says: "They saw in this scene at the Creel house, "Erica is carrying a lantern that lights up as she looks terrified. In that same lighting and setting, we see Lucas look um... troubled? heartbroken? gut wrenched??? I think we're gonna see some mirroring and he's going to give his life for Erica's with Max witnessing it." This would be a tragedy if it does come true. Earlier, Noah Schnapp had teased some deaths and gore during his appearance on Jimmy Fallon's show, and with Lucas being the subject of discussion, it's not a stretch to imagine if he indeed does die.
As dire as it seems, killing him might just be perfect for the show as it progresses to a new season. The show hasn't necessarily killed off any of the main characters. Dr. Brenner and Hopper — two key players in the series have had their deaths revoked and that means the supporting cast are the ones likely to not make the next installment.
