The scene is turning out to be one of the highlights of Season 4 and fans can’t stop raving about it. The scene has helped the song get popular once again and the band is loving all the love that their track is receiving. Taking it to Instagram, the band “applauded” the show and the Duffer brothers for including the track on the show, saying they were “stoked” to see the scene come to life. The band also revealed that they were really excited to know that the makers want to use one of their songs to shoot one of the most pivotal scenes in the season.

“The way The Duffer Brothers have incorporated music into Stranger Things has always been next level, so we were beyond psyched for them to not only include “Master of Puppets” in the show but to have such a pivotal scene built around it,” the band wrote on Instagram.

For the uninitiated, the scene takes place during the finale of Season 4 where Nancy, Steve, Robin, Eddie, Dustin, Max, Lucas, and Erica make a plan to kill Vecna. When the group splits up to take down the monster, Eddie and Dustin are tasked with distracting the Demobats so that Nancy, Steve, and Robin can finally kill the evil leech. Eddie reaches his trailer and takes out his guitar to shred ‘Master of Puppets’ so that bats could be distracted. The mission proves to be successful and Dustin concludes the scene by saying, “Dude. Most Metal Ever.”

Speaking further about the scene, the band also noted that they were “blown away” after seeing the final outcome and it was an “incredible honor” for them to be such a big part of Eddie’s journey. The post continued, “We were all stoked to see the final result and when we did we were totally blown away… it’s so extremely well done, so much so, that some folks were able to guess the song just by seeing a few seconds of Joseph Quinn’s hands in the trailer!!” the band’s statement continued. “How crazy cool is that? It’s an incredible honor to be such a big part of Eddie’s journey and to once again be keeping company with all of the other amazing artists featured in the show.”

This is the second time that a classic song has once again gained so much recognition from Gen-Z. In Volume 1 of Season 4, Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill’ turned out to be a massive hit and went on to top the charts in the UK. Meanwhile, Metallica’s ‘Master of Puppets’ is gathering steam as well and has claimed the numero uno position on the iTunes Rock chart. It is also placed at 29 on the overall chart.

Apart from that, the song has also reached the Spotify Top-50 Global Chart and is currently placed at number 17.

The song, which is 8 minutes and 38 seconds long, was released in 1986 and was a part of the album of the same name. At the time of its release, the song was praised for its amazing lyrics and long instrumental section, which begins at 3 minutes and 34 seconds.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Joseph Quinn, who portrayed Eddie on the show, revealed how cool it was to play the song and opened up about filming the sequence by saying, “We had a backing track and I was playing along with it. I wouldn’t wanna mess with what they've already got, but it was very useful to be able to play along character-wise. It's a pretty adolescent fantasy to be a rock star, isn't it? I felt like one for a night. It was great having Gaten [Matarazzo] up there with me. They really turned it up when they played ‘Master of Puppets’ and the whole crew were there.”

‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 is currently streaming on Netflix.
