Millie Bobby Brown and Gaten Matarazzo promised to attend fan's 'Stranger Things'-themed party after friends stood him up
'Stranger Things' cast members Millie Bobby Brown and Gaten Matarazzo asked for an invite to a fan's birthday party next year after his classmates failed to turn up at his birthday celebration this year.
'Stranger Things' stars Millie Bobby Brown and Gaten Matarazzo are what every fanboy and fangirl dreams their favorite celebrities would be, as they generously promised to attend a fan's birthday party next year after he threw a 'Stranger Things'-themed party this year that none of the eight classmates he had invited showed up for. Fans of the actors can't stop gushing about their sweet gesture.
It all started when a Twitter user, Ayen Alambat, posted pictures from her brother's birthday party that featured fairy lights resembling those used to communicate with the Upside Down in the show, a tank full of punch labeled 'Demogorgon Blood,' and a white fondant covered cake with the 'Stranger Things' logo on it that read, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY AARON!" The Aaron in question was wearing a t-shirt that read, "The world is turning upside down."
my brother invited 8 of his classmates for his stranger things themed bday party & none of their punk selves showed up pic.twitter.com/Rw8wC5uNjo— ayen (@ayenalambat) March 18, 2018
Ayen's caption called out the kids from Aaron's class who had been invited to the party and never showed up. The trays of uneaten Filipino food in the pictures seemed to indicate that a lot of effort had gone into preparing for the failed party. She even put up a video of him forcing a smile as he blew out the candles on his cake.
why was he so tense blowing the candles like that 😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/enp4N0v2Ic— ayen (@ayenalambat) March 18, 2018
However, despite the dismal failure of the birthday party, the tweet caught the attention of 'Stranger Things' breakout star Brown, who plays Eleven on the show, and she expressed her outrage at the fact that no one had turned up, saying that she and the 'Stranger Things' cast would have come had they been invited. She then invited herself to next year's party.
What!!!! Oh Well You can let them all know that everyone on behalf on Stranger things would’ve come! I think your awesome and next year I would like an invite... Please? 😘😘😘 https://t.co/gNir0sMpsm— Millie Bobby Brown (@milliebbrown) March 20, 2018
Matarazzo, who plays Dustin on the show, also said he'd be down to attend the party and said he would bring dessert if they were invited to Aaron's birthday next year. Meanwhile, Ayen was flooded with tweets of support from other users, and expressed her gratitude at the amount of attention her brother had been given.
