Four years ago, The Duffer Brothers gave the world a series that went on to become a cult phenomenon. Netflix's 'Stranger Things' premiered on July 15 and to celebrate the anniversary, star Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler on the '80s sci-fi horror posted an image of the main cast on Instagram with an interesting caption.

"Happy Anniversary @strangerthingstv!!! (and the untaggable @milliebobbybrown!!)" he captioned the photo and what followed was a flurry of comments. For a majority of the fans, this was a show that "changed their lives'. One of the comments read: "Can’t wait for the new season!"

"I can't wait to see you all together again! happy anniversary" one of the fans wrote. "Happy 4 years to the best show on this planet! Love you all!" another fan wished. "Anyways stop focusing on Noah and Hyler's drama and let's focus on this," commented one of the fans. One fan said, "You should meet after the corona," and another posted, "I'm going through withdrawals. I NEED STRANGER THINGS 4 ALREADY.  DAMN I HATE COVID 19."

'Stranger Things' Season 1 was set in the '80s Indiana. A fictional town called Hawkins sees three friends, Mike Wheeler (Wolfhard), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), and Will Byers (Noah Schapp) and in a series of supernatural events, Will disappears while Mike encounters a girl, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) with telekinetic abilities. The series debuted in 2016 with a stunning 97% on Rotten Tomatoes with the critical consensus reading, "Exciting, heartbreaking, and sometimes scary, Stranger Things acts as an addictive homage to Spielberg films and vintage 1980s television."

Meanwhile, the comments also saw fans laughing at the caption where Wolfhard said Brown was untaggable. "Now that's funny!" a fan wrote. The picture saw Wolfhard in a red shirt and fans also added a few thoughts. "Who’s the guy in red? You forgot to tag him" a fan said. Right now, fans have been eagerly waiting for Season 4 of the series.

The trailer for the fourth season dropped on Valentine’s Day this year and fuelled anticipation among fans. The biggest reveal of the trailer of the ‘80s Netflix series, of course, is the return of Hopper. At the end of season three, we saw Hopper disappear into the portal -- but we got a hint of him being alive as in the post-credits scene some Russian soldiers mentioned an American. The disappearance of Hopper was one of the most tragic things that have occurred in all the seasons of 'Stranger Things' so far.

'Stranger Things 4' is yet to get an official release date.
