Every family has its secrets. Once those are spilled, it can either make or break the bond. In Andy Herrera's (Jaina Lee Ortiz) case, she just found out that her mother Elena Herrera (Patricia De Leon) is alive and it might take her a long time to digest the fact.

As Episode 2 ‘Wild World’ began, Andy was at a socially-distanced reunion picnic with her aunt Sandra Alvarez (Laura Cerón), uncle Johnny Alvarez (Lombardo Boyar) and cousin Michelle Alvarez (Melissa Marty). Taking a day off work to sort out her personal life, she asked her aunt how her mother was like. Sandra replied. “You have her good stuff [but not the bad]. Luckily, the rest comes from your papi.”

Andy loved the family BBQs and was hurt that the family stopped inviting her. It was only later that she found out it was her father Pruitt Herrera (Miguel Sandoval) who kept the family at an arm's length. At the get-together, Andy couldn’t help but ask… why hadn’t anyone told her about her mother? Mulling over memories from their childhood, her cousin Michelle said she tried to tell Andy that they’d seen her “late” mom. However, Pruitt asked everyone to keep mum.

Not one to bite her lip, Andy's aunt even opened up about how they hadn’t agreed with his decision to keep her in the dark but they just couldn't reach out to her. Perhaps, Pruitt wanted to shield his daughter from being hurt after learning the truth. Clearly, it was not easy to comprehend why her mother, Elena, decided to leave her family just to pursue a firefighter career.

Now, it is on Andy to either accept the fact that her mother couldn't get herself to be with her child or stay bitter all her life. Can Andy forgive her and move on? Moreover, she is also temporarily separated from her husband, Robert Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe) due to his opioid addiction. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) provided him with some assistance but refused to be his sponsor. If he wants to make his marriage work, Sullivan needs to find a male sponsor so he doesn't use sex as an outlet after the addiction.

In a new teaser for next week's episode, Andy asks Maya Bishop (Danielle Savre) if she will testify at Robert's hearing. The summary of the next episode reads: "The future of Sullivan's career hangs in the balance as his disciplinary hearing gets underway." How will Andy cope with Sullivan losing his job?

Fans feel the couple will find a way back to each other somehow. "@BorisKodjoe @JainaLeeOrtiz loved this episode, loved the fact that Andy and Sullivan are still in touch even tho they are separated, and maybe, just maybe, they will find a way back to each other sooner rather than later?" one posted and another said, "Just thinking about the texts between Robert and Andy. I’m crying I miss them."

Many others also wished her bond grows stronger with her cousin, Michelle. "Loving Andy's family, I deeply hope that they develop this relationship very well, especially with her cousin," one wrote and another posted, "Andy's cousin is LGBTQ...MY HEART." A third said, "Andy being happy with her family honestly is what she deserves."

Played by Melissa Marty, Michelle may be a great support for Andy. As of now, it is not clear how many episodes Michelle will be seen in. Born on July 26, 1984 in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, the actress is known for her roles in 'Notorious' (2016), 'Dangerous Company' (2015) and 'Jane the Virgin' (2014).
