'Stargirl' Episode 7 Preview: Will Pat Dugan be able to teach Courtney's squad the importance of teamwork?

Pat realizes that the new Justice Society Of America doesn't stand a chance against Injustice Society

Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) and her newly formed squad almost got demolished in last week's episode by Sportsmaster and Tigress. As Courtney complained to her stepfather, Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson), everyone went in different directions and didn't 'listen to her'. Wildcat aka Yolanda Montez (Yvette Monreal) engaged in a battle with Tigress, which was quite the catfight and Rick Tyler (Cameron Gellman) doesn't take instructions from anyone, as he says. Beth Chapel (Anjelika Washington) was left confused while Courtney kept telling everyone to stay together. Luckily for them, Pat turned up to save the day (again).

Pat realizes that the new Justice Society Of America doesn't stand a chance against Injustice Society, who can polish them off for a snack. In the upcoming episode, he begins to teach them about teamwork. The synopsis of the episode reads, "Pat tries to teach Courtney, Yolanda, Beth and Rick the importance of teamwork; as the school prepares for homecoming, Cindy lashes out against her father's strict rules; Barbara accepts an offer from Jordan."

Going by the promos, Cindy Burman, the quintessential 'mean girl', is just another enemy waiting to extract her pound of flesh too. She was behind Yolanda's humiliation in front of the entire school, and the reason why Yolanda withdrew into a shell and was an outsider in her own family. Well, it looks like the JSA will have to take down Cindy too.

In other news, 'Stargirl' isn't taking it easy when it comes to introducing superheroes or supervillains. In every episode till now, we've met a villain, or a hero has been recruited. In fact, Stargirl has taken on Brainwave (Christopher James Baker) and incapacitated him, tried to fight Icicle (Neil Jackson), and gone up against Sportsmaster and Tigress. She found an angry, bitter Rick Tyler AKA Hourman (Cameron Gellman), and managed him to convince him to join the JSA, though he's there only to take revenge against the people responsible for his father's death. Beth Chapel strong-armed her way into the group because she heard Courtney and Yolanda talking during one of their missions.

'Stargirl' airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm on The CW.
