'Southern Charm' Season 7 has aired its premiere episode and fans are already in love with the gossip it has generated. While the series regulars are continuing their storylines, the showrunners have decided to add a fresh new face, who will likely add some drama to the narrative.

John Pringle, who was at Shep Rose's party, seem to like Madison LeCroy, Austen Kroll's on-again-off-again girlfriend. They chatted briefly and in the days to come, will possibly connect on a deeper level. How will this newfound "friendship" change the dynamics among the socialites of Charleston? Time will tell. For now, let's take a quick look at who John is and what's his backstory.

John's primary connect is Shep. They were frat buddies. They went to the University of Georgia before John moved to New York City to push his family business — commodity training. A little later, he moved to California, where he met his now ex-wife Heidi, with whom he has two children.

The ex-couple co-parents their kids. When not fathering, he enjoys strumming his guitar and humming new tunes. He has always been passionate about music but it took him a while before he could share his love for the craft with the world.

When he was in the Big Apple, he recorded his first LP 'Strange Points of View' and a couple of more later. But he was hesitant in pursuing music until his father pushed him to work towards it. In a few weeks, he hit the road hoping to successfully wind up a solo music tour.

John continues to post music videos on his Instagram handle. Also, he shares snippets from the quality time he spends with his kids, who are going to be a major part of his and the show's storyline this season. Will they accept Madison as John's new friend in the city or will there be friction? That's something only the upcoming episodes will decide. For now, let's hope that the children are able to cope with the new city and environment.
