Aespa 'Black Mamba': SM’s girl group teases music video for debut single, Internet calls it 'Rookie of the year'

SM Entertainment's upcoming girl's band, Aespa has now unveiled a striking new set of teasers for their debut single, 'Black Mamba'. The stunning dark concept portrayed in the teaser video, with the spotlight on member Karina, delivers a striking contrast with the other colorful teasers released by the group. Aespa is SM Entertainment’s first K-pop girl group since Red Velvet debuted in 2014, and the band will be making their debut with four members, each of whom has a virtual “avatar” counterpart. The song which will release on at 6 PM KST and 4 AM EST on November 17 is expected to get a hot reaction from global music fans.

The track will introduce people to the unique world of aespa by narrating a story in which “Black Mamba” is the villain terrorizing the world and blocking the connection between the real-life aespa members and their “æ” avatars.

As soon as the news of the upcoming release made its way to social media, people started reacting to it, as one Internet user labeled the teaser as, "ROOKIE OF THE YEAR!!!!" While another one wrote, "The dance choreography inside this teaser is almost the same like Itzy's Wannabe dance break."
