'Sisters Wives' star Kody Brown called 'trash' after he ghosts daughter Savannah on Christmas amid his feud with Janelle
FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA: 'Sister Wives' Season 18 star Kody Brown celebrated Christmas with wife Robyn Brown, then-wife Meri Brown, and their children in the latest episode of the show. However, the reality received backlash for the treatment of his daughter Savannah during the most recent episode.
Kody and Janelle had an explosive feud in the previous episode with the latter admitting to feeling 'stuck' in the relationship and that she 'didn't know' Kody.
In Episode 4, Janelle spent the holidays alone with her children, including 18-year-old daughter Savanah, at a vacation rental. While Janelle noted how the holiday was a 'relief', she also said she felt a 'sadness' due to the fact that Kody was 'not showing up for his kids'.
Savanah labeled the day as 'quiet' but 'kind of pleasant' as she and her brothers opened their stockings while sitting on the couch. Janelle revealed that she had not heard from any other family members that day.
Notably, Kody gifted luxurious gifts to his children with Robyn but didn't even call or text Savanah. A Reddit user started a thread noting the shocking moment and wrote, "Typical bitter baby daddy behavior."
Another user added, "That’s because Savannah is Janelle’s kid and if Kody is mad at the mom then the kids pay the price."
"No, it’s a box that can hold a very small man….like her father. Savannah deserves better!" he added.
Another social media user said, "Right? Parents fight. They divorce. It happens. But you reach a new level of terribad when you punish your kid who has done nothing wrong because of their mother. He’s such trash."
"I cannot imagine how hurt she must have been when she figured out what happened. Well, how upset all of the kids around the ages of R’s older ones, really," one user said.
"My heart broke for her. You can see it all over her face how hurt she is that he didn't even bother to call," another user said
'Sister Wives' star Kody Brown calls his and Janelle's children 'source of pain'
The emotional and explosive fallout from Kody Brown and Janelle Brown's pre-holiday blowout continued into Christmas. Janelle said that Kody did not reach out to their children at all during Christmas.
In the episode, Janelle could be seen forging ahead with the holiday and cooking with son Gabe, 21, who later appeared in a confessional with Savanah, 18, and Garrison, 24, to open up about their relationship with their dad.
Garrison noted, "The last two years have been really hard," he acknowledged. Meanwhile, Savanah said, "We were one big family and now we're kind of separate."
Kody refuted the idea that the children tried to make things right in his own confessional, and said, "The idea they wanted to connect with Robyn and our kids or Robyn and I rejecting them is not true."
Additionally, the 'Sister Wives' star called his and Janelle's children a source of pain. Kody said, "I have reached out, only to get rejection. They're not being fair."
