'Sister Wives' star Meri Brown hints at reconciliation with Kody Brown as she 'still sees value' in polygamy
MURRAY, UTAH: It's no news to 'Sister Wives' fans that Meri Brown has split from Kody Brown, but she might be looking forward to reconciling things with her ex-husband.
In the recently released episode of 'Sister Wives' Season 18, she said, "Here's the thing, I still see value to the big picture family."
Meri added, "Do I wish that we could all get our caps together and figure things out and have good relationships? Yeah, absolutely."
Even though the star did not specifically say that she wanted to mend things with Kody, it was pretty obvious that she did not want the family to fall out of polygamy.
Toward the end of the episode, Meri, being uncertain about the future, says, "But, I don't know what's going to happen, if that's even possible or if everybody is willing or interested."
Are 'Sister Wives' star Meri Brown and Kody Brown still together?
Meri Brown and Kody Brown, who tied the knot in 1990, are no longer together.
Even though Meri was Kody's first wife, the couple officially filed for divorce in 2014 as he wanted to legally marry Robyn Brown to adopt her kids.
As Meri and Kody parted ways, they claimed to have found their marriage "dead."
In one of the episodes, Kody said, "Meri and I had a fast courtship with a lot of expectations and a lot of not communicating. I didn’t know who I was marrying. As things unfolded, I started to become troubled and bitter by the situation I was in."
They officially announced their split on January 10, 2023, saying, "After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently terminate our marriage."
'Sister Wives' Brown family breaks into two as polygamy shatters
The Brown family seems to have broken apart into two halves, with one siding with Christine Brown and the other choosing to stay by Kody Brown's side after the two split in November 2021.
In a recent episode, Meri said "Christine has left and so many kids gravitate to her. I mean they said that last year, a year ago at Thanksgiving. Janelle's boys were saying that whatever Christine does for Christmas we'll do the same."
Therefore, in 'Sister Wives' Season 18, some of the Brown family decided to celebrate Christmas with Christine, while others were adamant about being with Kody.
Kody Brown claims 'too many lines have been crossed' as sister wives leave polygamy
After seeing Christine and Meri fall out of the marriage, Kody claimed, "We've been unwilling to change in the right ways to make this a functional family."
He added, "Too many lines have been crossed, too many times when we have gone 'I've given, I've given, I've given,' and now I'm sitting here going 'I've given too much' and I don't have more of this to give."
Kodi further slammed Christne's abrupt choice of leaving polygamy without thinking about others.
