'She-Hulk' to begin filming in November, Mark Ruffalo in early talks to join the Disney + series
It's going to be a smashing, green, family reunion after all, as 'She-Hulk' is set to enter production in November. When the 'She-Hulk' series was announced, everyone immediately wondered whether or not Mark Ruffalo would be making an appearance on the show -as Bruce Banner or as his hulked out alter-ego.
This week, at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, Mark Ruffalo announced that there are, indeed, plans for the Hulk to be showing up in the series, but he is still in preliminary talks. He spoke about it during a spotlight panel at C2E2, which was covered by Laughing PLace via livetweet.
Bruce Banner plays a big role in the origin of 'She-Hulk'. After his cousin, Jennifer Walters, is injured in a car accident, Bruce Banner gives her a blood transfusion as her closest living family member. Unfortunately for Jennifer, this process gives her the ability to transform into a version of the Hulk herself, albeit one who had a lot more control over her personality, and her rage.
Whereas Bruce Banner's Hulk tends to be more of a smasher, Jennifer Walters is a lot more outgoing, and promiscuous, though one in enough possession of her faculties to still function as a lawyer.
Recently in the comics, however, the trauma of Bruce Banner's death and nearly dying herself has turned 'She-Hulk' into a version much closer to Bruce Banners - ruled by rage, and prone to speaking in minimal, coarse sentences.
We may be getting to see Ruffalo's Hulk on screen sooner than later as 'She-Hulk' is reportedly set to begin filming this November, according to news and rumor website Murphy's Multiverse. After announcing that the release date for the show would be pushed up, Marvel is apparently wasting no time getting the series over to Disney+. According to the side, the production for the show will begin production mid-November.
'She-Hulk' is set to release on Disney+ in August, 2021.
