What is the ‘Shark Tank’ update?

In a ‘Shark Tank’ update, Season 12 entrepreneur Michael Pan updates us on how his Vancouver, Washington-based vegan snack company, Pan’s Mushroom Jerky, has dramatically grown its sales, tripled its employees and reached new customers during the global pandemic with some help from his investor, Mark Cuban.

“Shiitake mushrooms are known for their dense, fibrous texture and their savory umami flavor, which is why the Pan family has been using them in their jerky recipe for decades,” the official website reads. “Umami, or savoriness, is the fifth taste after sweetness, sourness, bitterness, and saltiness. Other umami-rich foods include meats, seafood, and cheese. While Pan's Mushroom Jerky doesn't contain any meat, the flavor and texture of our jerky will leave you feeling satisfied!”

During the pitch on the show, Lori Greiner and Mark Cuban had a slight argument as she felt he shouldn't have swooped in to make an offer and yelled at him. Mark defended himself saying he is a vegetarian and he loves it.
