'Shark Tank': Mama O's Kimchi leaves tank with no deal, upset fans tell Sharks 'YOU MISSED OUT'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A great product pitch backed by impressive sales figures is usually enough for the Sharks on 'Shark Tank' to take the bait. But unfortunately, Mama O's Kimchi had to leave the tank with no deal despite their exceptional spicy pitch for the delicious condiment and the impressive $815,000 they made in sales the previous year. Considering the brand's founder Kheedim Oh started the company with nothing more than $50 and a skateboard!
Despite their very inspiring backstory and amazing numbers, sadly, the Sharks- Mark Cuban, Kevin O'Leary, Lori Greiner, Kendra Scott, and Daymond John, decided to sit out on the deal. For Mark, the biggest concern about investing in the brand was how despite being in the business for many years, the brand had still not expanded by adding more employees. Mark saw that as a sign of overtly-involved founders who would have difficulty in letting go of control, so as an investor that wouldn't be the best scenario for him. So the billionaire Shark bowed out. Kevin too followed suit by pointing out how kimchi wasn't for him.

Though Lori and Kendra loved the kimchi, they too passed up on making the offer. Daymond was the only Shark who was almost very close to making the offer on account of Mama O's personality but he decided to follow his gut and backed out at the last minute. So, Mama O's Kimchi had to leave the tank without the $250,000 investment money they came in seeking.
While the Sharks may be happy with their decision, 'Shark Tank' fans weren't. Several fans took to Twitter to call out the Sharks for missing out on a great deal. A fan tweeted, "Aww they didn’t get a deal… well I’m still going to find some at Whole Foods tomorrow #SharkTank." "I was hoping @MamaOsKimchi would get a deal! May you continue to grow and succeed! #SharkTank," wrote a fan. "Oh man! The sharks lived up to their name tonight. #SharkTank," declared a fan.
