'Seeking Brother Husband': Who are Eliza and Mike? Infidelity and 'intense' fling paved way for polyandry
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In the upcoming series, 'Seeking Brother Husband', TLC will assist a new cast in finding second or third spouses in polyandrous relationships. While 'Seeking Brother Husband' is markedly different from 'Sister Wives' and 'Seeking Sister Wife', it is not the network's first show about polyandry. The cast consists of four couples who are at various stages of their relationships and are looking for new husbands.
Fans will be able to follow the TLC show's cast as they navigate through the life-changing decisions of expanding their families and testing their boundaries. Who are Eliza and Mike?
Eliza and Mike are newlyweds based in Los Angeles with a long dating history. Eliza has a strong desire to have multiple husbands and is willing to change her lifestyle. Mike confesses to feeling jealous, but he's ready to support Eliza's interest in polyandry. Eliza and Mike fell in love at first sight and they were inseparable as soon as they met, but a heated line dance and a shocking revelation rocked their relationship.
In a sneak peek obtained by People, Eliza had revealed in a confessional that she had "cheated" on Mike while they were dating and the "intense" connection she had with the other man left her confused. It was difficult for the couple to overcome her infidelity, and they eventually had to decide whether they wanted to pursue multiple partners. Opening up about the topic Mike said, "We've both established we wanted to continue our relationship." He also added "So, that was big step No 1: We do want to continue this thing. The big step No 2 is, How to want this relationship to look moving forward?" Mike also shared that he read a lot of psychology and dating books before he opened up to the idea of polygamy. Now the couple is looking to add a third partner to their relationship.
Mike and Eliza on 'Seeking Brother Husband'
TLC's upcoming series 'Seeking Brother Husband' will feature four couples and trios looking to add another person to their relationship. In the trailer for the season premiere, Eliza claimed, she is not in a polyandrous relationship for the purpose of having sex with other men. Eliza also highlighted society's double standards as she said, "There’s definitely a double standard when a female has multiple partners. It’s like, 'Oh my god, she’s such a sl*t, she sleeps around.'" The trailer ended with the cast having an awkward conversation, including judgment from their families and discussions about house hunting.
'Seeking Brother Husband' premieres on March 26, 2023, at 10 pm ET on TLC and will be available to stream the same day on Discovery+.
