'SEAL Team' is all set to return with a power-packed third season and fans can't hold their excitement. David Boreanaz shared the second sneak peek of the show on Twitter and in the 1.22-minute clip, Jason Hayes is in an intense discussion with Clay Spenser (Max Thieriot) after his grave injury.

Their conversation delves deeper into how the series will put the spotlight on post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) as well as brain injuries that affected the Bravo Team. In the previous season, Clay fought for his friend who killed himself and how that affected him might become a crucial plotline in the next season. Jason's fragile state of mind was also a major concern by the end of season two, and that might open doors to more of his psyche and personal dynamics to be explored on the show.

In an interview, Boreanaz said, "Jason sees Clay as someone who is going through some rehab. Maybe Jason's been there before so he can sympathize with him, but at the same time, he has got to continue to lead Bravo Team where Bravo Team needs to go. And there's a lot of conflict with Bravo Team, to begin with, so there's a lot of stuff that's going on."

Previously, the makers had dropped a short sneak peek, which began with Ensign Lisa Davis (Toni Trucks) announcing: "Kosovo's recently become a hotbed of terrorist activity," after which the team got back into combat mode. War dominates the storyline of the series, but Boreanaz revealed that the third season will delve deeper into the team's identity and personal relationships. The series needs to chalk out deeper character arcs after the violent military battles through the first two seasons.

With 22 episodes, the third season drops premieres on CBS starting Wednesday, October 2 at 10/9c and the summary of the first episode reads: "Jason Hayes leads the team on a mission in Serbia to track down an organization linked to the bombing of multiple American military outposts, on the third season premiere of SEAL Team."
