'Scams' is a Japanese series that is an adaptation of a nonfiction work 'Rojin Kui' by Daisuke Suzuki. The series contains nine, 30-minutes episodes. Currently, the first season is all set to release on Netflix.

Plot:

Freshly graduated from a prestigious university, Seijitsu Kusano landed a job at a large company. His life was like a bed of roses, and everything was on point. But with a twist in the tale, things go spiraling down and he gets laid off from the job due to bankruptcy. Making things worse, his ailing father's medicines and treatment are expensive and his insurance doesn't even cover it. Seijitsu Kusano is pressurized by the bank to pay off his student loans. 

Seijitsu Kusano is desperate to seek a way out. He then sees a notice for a job that guarantees a lavish life and heavy pay. Turns out that he has to withdraw money from elderly people's bank accounts and these people end up becoming the victims of voice phishing.

Sugino Yosuke plays Kusano Seijitsu in this series.

Sugino Yosuke is a Japanese actor known for films and television dramas like 'Sabu', 'Mistress', and 'Atarashii Osama.' He will be playing the lead role in this scandalous web series.

Kobayashi Yuki is the director of the series. He has previously worked on shows like 'Death Row Family' and 'Rise of the Machine Girls.'
