Alexandra Gerhart was looking for a dress that would make all the eyes turn, and most of all she wanted something that was shiny. Meanwhile, her mother, Tracy Gerhart, wanted her daughter to wear something sexy. While the two had similar tastes, Tracy made it clear that it was "their" wedding, and she had all the right to approve or disapprove a dress.

When the two first stepped into Kleinfeld, they were happy to see the numerous dresses in front of them to choose from. While each one looked better than the other, Tracy knew that the dress Alexandra would walk down the aisle would have to compliment the pair of Jimmy Choo shoes that they bought with them. Tracy wanted her daughter to look the best and it did not come as a surprise as Alexandra made it clear that her mother always has a say in what she does. Meanwhile, opening up about her fiance and the wedding, Alexandra revealed that her fiance is a professional basketball player.

She revealed that he took her on a scavenger hunt before popping the big question. The hunt ended with Alexandra receiving a wedding ring and a puppy. She admitted that it was an emotional day and she is eagerly waiting to get married to the man of her dreams. While Alexandra has everything under control, one thing that is not ticked off her sheet is the wedding dress. Coming to the store, Alexandra was quick to say that she wants a dress that is hard to ignore. Meanwhile, Tracy wanted something that would make her daughter look glamorous. Without wasting any time, Alexandra tried on a couple of dresses at the store. The first dress was a netted wedding dress that had Swarovski crystals all over them.

Unfortunately, Alexandra did not like the dress and neither did her mother. This led to her trying on the second dress. While she liked this more than the first one, her mother failed to fall in love with it. She thought Alexandra was looking like a cake decoration. The third dress that Alexandra tried instantly got a no from her mother. Tracy thought that the unique style of the dress with a cut at the bottom did not do justice. While Alexandra was keen on trying a dress that had a crystal, her consultant Dianne decided to try her luck and asked her to wear a more fitting gown that she thought would be perfect for her. Even though the fourth dress did not have the bling like Alexandra was hoping for, the simplicity and the figure-hugging gown made her fall in love with it. Luckily, her mother agrees and the two were quick to say yes to the dress!

The season finale of 'Say Yes To The Dress' aired on Saturday (September 12) at 8 pm ET on TLC.
