Andy has always been someone who is confident about himself and knew just how to entertain everyone in the room. However, things changed when he realized that he had lumps growing on his head that were hard to ignore.

Ever since Andy noticed this, he started finding ways by which he could hide them. There were times when he thought about using hats to cover them but he still worried that people might pass comments and judge him if they looked at his head.

These thoughts especially took over him when he walked on the streets. Andy started getting worried about what may happen if someone walked behind him and spotted the lump. Andy's friend agreed that ever since the lump started forming on his head, his behavior changed. They recalled him being a person who was upfront and confident about himself.

They added that he would often be the person who made everyone laugh. Unforuntalty, that changed. Andy confessed that he hadn't entered the dating zone for a long time because he was worried that no girl would like him. To help with his condition, Andy decided to meet Dr Emma Craythorne.

Once Dr Craythorne examined his lumps, she realized that they were keloid, a condition in which the scars on the head tend to raise and create lumps. Dr Craythorne also noticed that Andy had a couple of them on his head. While two of them were quite visible, the others were tiny and unnoticeable.

She told Andy that he had two options in his hand, one was to cut them while the other included using a carbon dioxide laser that would prevent the keloid from growing. He opted to go for laser therapy and without wasting a second, Dr Craythorne got right to her job.

She removed the two keloids using the laser and thought that it looked like a cockroach. She noticed that there were still hair follicles that were growing underneath it. Andy asked if there was a possibility for his hair to grow. Dr Craythorne said there are chances for things to get normal.

She then advised Andy to use a cream over his keloids. She added that it would help the scar to heal while also stop the small keloids from growing. Andy was finally happy to see that his keloids were gone and was looking forward to a new life.

'Save My Skin' airs on Thursdays at 11 pm ET on TLC.
