'RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race': Vanessa Williams wins $30k for The Trevor Project, fans say 'she rocks'

'RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race’ pulled out the big guns when they roped in celebrities like Vanessa Williams, Loni Love and Tami Roman to participate on the show to win money for the charity of their choice. This week’s episode saw the celebrities putting their best foot forward as they tried to ace every challenge thrown at them.
 
The theme was 5-9 twerking and the celebrities had to showcase their best “twerk-ethic”. Williams channeled her drag persona aptly named ‘Vanqueisha De House’, a play on the words vanquish the house.

Now, we all know that Williams is a perfectionist. She pays attention to every minute detail of the role she's donning and it wasn’t any different when she was playing her drag persona. Although it was out of her comfort zone, the former pageant queen was game to trying out new things and challenging herself. Vanessa was competing on the show to win the prize money of $30,000 for The Trevor Project. She explains that the organization does amazing work for LGBTQ youth who are homeless or suicidal, and she would love to help them out with her contribution.
 
It is safe to assume that Williams already won RuPaul’s approval when she picked The Trevor Project as the charity of her choice. Finally, when it was time to perform in the various challenges, Williams didn’t disappoint us either. She twerked like a pro, lip-synched really well and had a great stage presence.

When RuPaul finally announced that Vanessa was the winner, fans weren’t surprised.

A fan tweeted, "'She's a ringer baby!' OF F***ING COURSE VANESSA WILLIAMS WON! She is amazing. Love them all. It was great. #CelebDragRace.” Another fan wrote, “The win was Vanessa's as soon as she walked in but DAMN this was a good episode. Don't know why it wasn't the premier! #CelebDragRace.”

“This is not to say that the other two celebs didn't have great showings, too. But Vanessa just had an experienced edge to her drag, and it showed. I will see y'all next week, folks. #DragRace #CelebDragRace,” expressed a fan. “Vanessa Williams lived up 2 her name and Vanquished Da House. What an amazing episode. #CelebDragRace,” commented another fan.
 
Just like RuPaul, even fans were thrilled with Williams’s choice of charity. A fan shared, “YASSSSS! Congrats Vanessa Williams!!! The money you raised for the Trevor Project will help so many gay youths who are struggling, suicidal, homeless and in despair get a chance to flourish & be happy! You rock!!! #CelebDragRace.” Another fan wrote, “30k to the trevor project miss vanessa williams brought the bag home #celebdragrace.”
