Actress and #MeToo firebrand Rose McGowan has now gone after Democrats and media outlets New York Times and Washington Post, calling them a "cult" and describing their apparent silence on former Vice President Joe Biden's sexual assault accusations as "deeper than a cover-up."

The 'Planet Terror' star went against Democrat lawmakers who have either ignored or rebuked allegations made by former Senate staffer Tara Reade, who claims the presumptive presidential nominee sexually assaulted her nearly three decades ago, Breitbart reports.

McGowan tweeted a letter on Wednesday saying she had lost faith in Democrats and media outlets such as the New York Times and The Washington Post.

“I’m really sad, and I’m really tired. I normally share thoughts, but tonight it’s emotion," she wrote alongside the post.

“I used to be a proud Democrat. I used to be a proud America. I would have died for this damned country and its ideals. I was raised to be a proud Democrat. When my youngest brother graduated as a fighter pilot at the Air Force Academy, I wore a Vote John Kerry pin (lol,) got into a verbal altercation with big who were mad I was a Democrat,” McGowan said in her letter.

“They were twice my size and I had to listen to GW Bush give the keynote address and John Ashcroft sing his terrible eagle song. I lost count of GWB saying ‘terrorism’ at 47 because that’s what cult leaders do and it gets boring. All because I thought democracy meant was I had a right to choose those who lined up with my values system,” the Charmed actress said, before asking “But what if there’s no one?”

“And I was always told it was the Democratic Party that were the good guys, that our papers were New York Times & the Washington Post and we as a family loved listing to All Things Considered and we’d talk about how much we loved Ira Glass’ voice,” she explained. “But now I know too much. And I feel really quite a sense of loss tonight.”

“I am not a cynical person, but America goddamn,” the #MeToo activist continued. “Republicans have always been painted as the bad guys, and I’ve always seen them more as a cult, but now I realize so are the Democrats and the media. Marco and micro. This is deeper than a cover-up. And I’m sad because there’s death around all corners and shadows in the daytime. It hurts.”

The fiery letter comes just days after McGowan called on Biden to end his presidential campaign over Reade's accusations.

“Fellow citizens, use your power, use your social media voice,” McGowan she urged her fans in a tweet late Saturday. “Tweet at Joe Biden to end his campaign effective immediately.”

Tara Reade's bombshell allegation recently grabbed headlines after a 1993 Larry King segment from CNN resurfaced over the weekend. The footage allegedly shows Reade's mother referencing her daughter's scarring experience at her workplace. The CNN footage corroborates Reade's claim that she told her mother about the alleged incident with Biden, who has denied the allegations.

Earlier this month, McGowan attacked the New York Times for displaying "favoritism” and “utter hypocrisy” while covering of Republicans like President Donald Trump versus Democrats like Biden.

“Yes, you go after the reprehensible Trump, but leave Biden accusations alone. You are the problem,” she said.

McGowan's criticism of Democrats, the media, as well as feminist groups only grew louder as Reade's claims became clearer.

“F**k you to the silent media, f**k you to women’s groups, Gloria Steinem, & f**king take ass Oprah, f**k you,” she said last week. “All of you crow about your braver yet you do nothing.”
