'Riverdale' Season 4: The Farm is back in Episode 3 promo while the synopsis hints at a rough first day for Jughead at Stonewall Prep

The second episode saw Betty and Charles (Wyatt Nash) find out the whereabouts of The Farm and Edgar Evernever is "armed to the teeth" should someone try and infiltrate the place

The CW released the promo and official synopsis for episode three of 'Riverdale' titled 'Dog Day Afternoon' and the action unfolds almost immediately.

Polly Cooper (Tiera Skovbye) is back with a bomb strapped to her chest and we see Betty (Lili Reinhart) taking the role of a bomb disposal expert. Meanwhile, there is also an action sequence of Archie taking on a bunch of goons.

The second episode saw Betty and Charles (Wyatt Nash) find the whereabouts of The Farm and Edgar Evernever is "armed to the teeth" should someone try and infiltrate the place.

This shocking scene of Polly and the explosives also hints that their mother Alice (Amick Madchen) is in grave danger as she was an informant for the FBI.

The official synopsis reads: "BETTY AND CHARLES CONFRONT EDGAR EVERNEVER — Things take a dangerous turn when Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Charles (guest star Wyatt Nash) track down Edgar (guest star Chad Michael Murray) and his Farmies."

"Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) hold a car wash fundraiser at Pop’s to raise money for the community center. Elsewhere, Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) first day at Stonewall Prep doesn't go as planned. Lastly, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) learns a dark family secret from Nana Rose", it adds.

You can watch the promo here.  The synopsis also sheds light on Jughead's days at Stonewall Prep and it surely doesn't come in as great news considering that his dad and Betty were in agreement to send him off.

Meanwhile, the El Royale gym that Archie had plans of converting into a community center finally moves forward with the fundraiser storyline coming in. Expect a musical performance to come in at some stage in episode three.

What are your thoughts on Riverdale taking on The Farm? 'Riverdale' Season 4 airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm on The CW.
