'Riverdale' Season 4 sees the core four come inches away from a foursome, will Bughead and Varchie ever swing?

The senior year was less than 24 hours away and the core four — Archie (KJ Apa). Veronica (Camila Mendes), Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) are at Ronnie's apartment talking about what could possibly be the best year of their lives.
And with it comes the anxiety and excitement. Guess sentimentality does turn people on as Betty starts making out furiously with Jughead while Archie and Ronnie blankly stare before following suit in what we would say was a quick escalation.
"I think that’s our cue, Archiekins," Veronica says. Except, they do it in Ronnie's room. What follows for the next few minutes is some steamy sex that sums up their preparation for the senior year.
Refinery 29 says this could have probably been the beginning of group sex akin to fellow Archie Universe series 'Sabrina'. However, the show slams on the brakes here as the twin sex scene happens in different rooms.
This isn't the first time it has hinted at a foursome though as the teens had previously slipped off into a camping weekend in earlier seasons where they make out in different cabins.
Looks like it was a great night as they forget to set the alarm and end up being tardy on the first day of school. This also establishes that the show lives up to its tagline "Sex. Lies. Videotape". Or at least, the first part of it.
Will Bughead and Varchie ever swing is a question that will need to be answered at some point. And since we are talking about Bughead, how will things pan out for the two considering Jug is joining Stonewall Prep?
