This article contains spoilers for 'Riverdale' Season 4 Episode 10: 'Varsity Blues'

Like we said in our review, Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) doesn't really need to go to college. Her sharp business acumen is pretty prominent considering she runs La Bonne Nuit. 'Varsity Blues' sees Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) play the villain again by filing a lawsuit against his own daughter, alleging her of stealing the Lodge's special rum recipe. This is another classic case of the Lodge v Lodge (Or should we say, Luna) where the old man has managed to push the teen on the backfoot and she desperately tries to gain back the lost footing.

In this episode, with no other option, Veronica and Reggie (Charles Melton) resort to petty schemes as we see one of them scratching the surface of Hiram's car and then emptying a bottle of rum into the fuel tank. It is only when she tries Cheryl's maple syrup popsicle that she hits on a brilliant idea— Mixing maple syrup and rum so that it is essentially a partnership and that means Hiram's lawsuit won't be ruining the business.

She enters into a new partnership with Cheryl and now it is interesting to see how that pans out. This storyline makes a lot more sense considering the duo have always had each other's backs.

Barring the Season 1 Vixen rivalry, Ronnie was crucial in helping Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan) break Cheryl out of the 'Sisters of Quiet Mercy'. This new partnership just might leave Hiram high and dry after all.

Plus, it does add to giving a more concrete role for the character. Veronica has been largely distant from her friends who are pretty much caught up with their own issues. 'Varsity Blues' ensures she's back with her crowd.

'Riverdale' Season 4 airs Wednesdays 8 pm on The CW.
