'RHOP' fans 'tired' of Wendy Osefo and Nneka Ihim's feud as cast claims former did not want fellow Nigerian-origin woman joining show

POTOMAC, MARYLAND: Dr Wendy Osefo has been a regular on 'The Real Housewives of Potomac' for several seasons. However, fans were shocked when co-star Ashley Darby claimed Wendy was sure not happy with fellow Nigerian-American Nneka Ihim joining the Bravo show.
Nneka was supported by previously unseen footage when opposing Wendy during an argument on the December 3 episode of 'RHOP'. Nneka, a resident of Boston, said that Wendy, a native of Nigeria, did not want her on the Bravo reality program and that her mother used "witchcraft" against her.

Nneka claimed that Wendy's sister Ivy informed her mother-in-law Lebe Iwu about her joining the reality show and that Wendy's mother then called Lebe to say she had submitted Nneka's name to a shrine.
Wendy said to the group, "During pickleball, Nneka kept on saying, 'Your mom says she's gonna put my name on a shrine. She's gonna do this. She's gonna do that.' It was never about Nneka. It was always about her in-law, Lebe, and Ivy, my sister."
Wendy explained, "Her and my sister were friends. They're no longer friends. They have been on and off for the past two. It's been shaky."
"Nice try. Nice try. It was not a fight between friends," Nneka explained.
Nneka added that Ivy informed Lebe that Wendy was furious "that I had allegedly used her name, and I'm telling people that she and I are friends, to be amongst a social circle."
"Which is incorrect. I met her at an event, but I've never said that she and I are friends 'cause I don't know her. I met her in passing," Nneka explained.
"You knew exactly who I was. You came, and you specifically went against your fellow Nigerian sister with the sole purpose and intent to attack me," Wendy stated, pointing to Nneka.
"Goodbye, goodbye," murmured Nneka.
"You knew who I was," Wendy pointed out.
"Get outta here. Get outta here. I didn't know. I still don't know you," Nneka dismissed her.
Gizelle Bryant, who was caught in the crossfire, inquired about the source of all the animosity. Nneka explained it all stemmed from Wendy's sister calling her a clout chaser.
"I think there's some truth to the fact that Wendy didn't want Nneka to come on the show," Ashley said.
"Unfortunately, Wendy is jealous," Robyn Dixon admitted in an interview.
"Wait, is that why she was so mean to me?" Mia looked at the camera, puzzled, as old footage showed Wendy criticizing her.
"I mean, you know, she should just say it. Just say, 'You know, I wanted to be the only Nigerian. I wanted to hold it down for my Niger people.' Just say that," Ashley continued candidly.
Frustrated fans on X wrote, "I’m so tired of this Nneka and Wendy situation and all the women giving their think pieces about it. Let’s go back to the drawing board." Another person chimed in, "This Nneka & Wendy beef is stupid and boring and we don't want it..."

One asked, "Nneka didn’t watch the show and didn’t know who Wendy was but knew who she invited to her sip and see 3 years ago?" A fourth person quipped, "Nneka gagged Wendy a little bit with the sister being at the sip and see…then comes the production with the flashback."

Nneka Ihim shares receipts after feud with 'RHOP' co-star Wendy Osefo
As soon as the episode wrapped, Nneka took to X to share some receipts. The 'RHOP' newbie wrote, "Wait, so you’re familiar with me? & suddenly you know Lebe? I’ve had a relationship with Bravo for 2 years, but I used your name?"
She continued questioning Wendy Osefo's claims, asking, "Now you’re fabricating texts too? Where does that text say I wanted to meet with you? IT DOESN’T. Tell the truth and shame the devil."

Wendy Osefo slams 'RHOP' star Nneka Ihim’s 'voodoo' claims with 'criminal implications' against mother
Wendy's co-star Ashely once "misremembered" and claimed that the Nigerian-born doctor belonged to the Osu caste system. According to Wendy's explanation of the term, this signifies that the family has been ostracized.
While these debates simmered down, they resurfaced this season. However, Wendy has stated that her family was never boycotted.
However, cast members are now spreading rumors about Wendy's family being involved in voodoo. Nneka, a new character, accused Wendy's mother of being a witch in the most recent episode.
Wendy responded to the show on X by retweeting a fan's remark on how deadly this charge is in Nigerian culture.
The post read, “As a Nigerian I can say being accused of having a shrine and practicing voodoo is one of the biggest insults and criminal implications someone can accuse you of. People in Nigeria are literally stoned to death or jailed over these things.”
This arose after the group inquired about Wendy and Nneka's well-being. They both stated that they didn't know each other well enough to have disagreements.
Nneka, on the other hand, stated that she overheard and is aware of Wendy's sister's phone calls to her in-law regarding her inclusion in this group. Nneka was aware of Wendy's mother's alleged phone conversation with her in-law, in which she stated that she had submitted her name to a shrine.
She went on to say, "And threatening to send my in-law's name to a shrine." Nneka effectively accused Wendy's mother of voodoo, which stunned the group.
Wendy acknowledged that her mother was a Christian, not a voodoo witch or priestess, after a brief argument. "By day, she's submitting names to shrines," Nneka continued.
The two didn't settle their differences concerning the claimed shrine as they argued until the event had ended. Wendy, after the episode, took to X with a message about the accusation.

'The Real Housewives of Potomac' Season 8 airs on Bravo on Sundays at 8 pm ET.
