Who is Kiki Barth?
On her Instagram bio, Kiki quickly gives us a rundown of the many roles she juggles in her life and also all her big accomplishments. She mentions model, mom, former Miss Haiti, and 'RHOM' in her bio. As mentioned above, Kiki is an extremely successful model who has worked with some major magazines and the biggest brands in the industry. Her Instagram page is flooded with several snaps from her photoshoots. When she isn't busy jet-setting across the globe as a successful model, the soon-to-be reality star is a doting mother to her two children. Kiki appears to like to keep her personal life private as she hasn't shared much details about the father of her children or her children either.
According to her website, she was born in the small town of Saint Marc in Haiti and was brought to the USA by her father at the age of 13 to begin a new life. Owing to her lack of English-speaking skills, Kiki struggled initially when she moved to the USA. Things got worse for her when her stepmother threw her out of the house at the age of fifteen. In an interview with Miami Vibes Magazine, the supermodel recounted, "I came to America when I was 13, I lived with my father, and my stepmother had the audacity to kick me out of my house at 15. I didn't speak English at that moment, so the challenges started, and it was a very dark time in my life. I had to think on my feet, adapt and figure out how I was going to survive. I started working at fast-food restaurants trying to make ends meet. Although at this stage I wanted to be a model, my family was judging me, thinking I was crazy going after such a thing. I made a living for myself. I can honestly say I didn't marry into money. I did this all by myself, with the people that believe in me, and the beautiful community I started cultivating. What’s crazy is that I didn't talk to my dad for 10 years, and now he's my biggest fan!"
Kiki did get her happy ending as she also got to be reunited with her mother in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake. Owing to all the rough experiences she had growing up, Kiki set up a foundation to help children in need with her Kiki's Kids Foundation. "We envision a day in Haiti when all children will have the opportunity to obtain an excellent education and be able to reach their full potential," she wrote on her LinkedIn page.
Kiki hopes to use her platform to bring awareness to the struggles in Haiti and to help empower the people of her country to make positive changes. We can't wait to watch Kiki on 'RHOM' and learn more about her.
'Real Housewives of Miami' Season 4 premieres on December 16 on Peacock.
