‘Real Housewives of Orange County’: Fans sick of Vicki's malicious gossip-mongering and feel her time on the show is up
Demoted housewife Vicki Gunvalson has yet again managed to find herself in a soup after she let her tongue wag rumors about Kelly Dodd. Vicki and Kelly have been feuding for a long time now after Vicki began spreading rumors about Kelly’s alleged cocaine addiction. The rumors caused a lot of pain and damage to the Dodd family. Vicki clearly hasn’t learned from her mistakes, as this season she has already begun spreading more rumors about Kelly.
In the recently aired episode, Vicki and Kelly have a little showdown after Vicki gives an emotional speech about how none of the ladies want to hurt each other intentionally, Kelly then reminds Vicki that it isn’t the case with Vicki who went digging for dirt against Kelly and spread nasty rumors about her, including the train rumor. Kelly then storms off angrily.
Vicki is left with the remaining housewives and she begins to defend herself. She claims that she didn’t damage Kelly’s reputation, and reveals that it was already bad. The former housewife then gives birth to a new rumor when she claims that Kelly isn’t allowed into her daughter Jolie’s school. The other housewives are shocked by this new information. It does sound a bit far-fetched that a parent is banned from visiting their child’s school, so the ladies start questioning Vicki about where she got her information from and details about the ban. Vicki who realizes that nobody is buying her rumors quickly dismisses it saying it’s all “schematics” instead of semantics, and then dismisses the subject.
Later Emily relays this information to Kelly. In a fit of rage, Kelly calls up Shannon to confront the new rumor of Vicki. Vicki overhears the entire conversation on the speakerphone, and immediately begins blaming Emily for gossiping. Tamra and Shannon call out Vicki and try to make her take responsibility for her actions but Vicki strongly feels that she did nothing wrong and that it is all Emily’s fault.
Fans found Vicki’s habit of continuously spreading rumors and lies awful and sickening. A fan tweeted, “Vicki is... an actual psychopath? Her compulsively concocting hurtful lies that affect people’s REAL lives, not reality television personas, is clearly what made Bravo snatch her orange. #RHOC”. Another fan wrote, “#RHOC So the vibe I got was if you stop putting up with #Vicki’s shit, she just attacks you with vicious rumors until she worms her way back into your life? That is the worst kind of abuse!!!!! What a SICK SICK BITCH YOU ARE @vgunvalson”.
Fans are also beginning to feel that it is high time the former OG housewife be fired from the show. A fan explains, “Here is my opinion on #RHOC ..i am sick of Vicki’s storyline being about horrible accusations she’s making of people. First David beats shannon, then Eddie is gay, now Kelly is a coke head and had a train ran on her. I’m done with her.
