Sheree Whitfield taped for the new season of the show 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' early this year, and longtime beau Tyrone Gilliams is set to join her on camera for the first time after not speaking to each other for months.

Gilliams, Shereé's possibly estranged lover, had filed a lawsuit in 2021 over a dispute about the use of his former appearances on 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta'. Gilliams has allegedly ceased communicating with Shereé Whitfield, according to a TMZ exclusive. Sources told TMZ that the two recently filmed multiple scenes together, including the season finale, in which Sheree hosts a fashion show.

Who is Tyrone Gilliams?

Gilliams was a basketball player for the University of Pennsylvania in the 1980s. Later, he established TLG, TL Gilliams, LLC, a commodities trading firm. He is also said to have dabbled in the promotion of rappers and hip-hop acts. While nothing is known about Gilliams' family, it has been alleged that he had two children from a prior marriage.

From 1987 until 1990, Gilliams attended Penn State University. While it is unknown what field he majored in, he continued to play basketball for the institution after his degree concluded. Gilliams led the team in many games from 1988 to 1989.

Shereé last appeared on 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' during the show's tenth season. She is an original cast member of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,' and has been open about the ups and downs of her love life. She talked about her child support struggle with her ex-husband Bob Whitfield during her early seasons. She kept her single status on the program and even shared some of her date nights with the cameras. Sheree returned in Season 8 as a friend before being cast as a full-time housewife in Seasons 9 and 10, after starring in the first four seasons of the franchise.

Sheree talked about her long-distance relationship with Gilliams when she returned. After a divorce and years of dating, it was the first time fans saw Sheree truly smitten by another man. She stated that she could see herself marrying again in the future. Gilliams seemed to be the one for her, and she adored the institution of marriage. She claimed to be familiar enough with the man to put her trust in him. She revealed that she could speak with him about anything.

The marriage rumors

After Gilliams was freed from prison in 2021, Sheree was dogged by marriage rumors. They had a long history together, dating back to when Gillams was sentenced to ten years in prison. In the months preceding up to his sentencing, the two had dated before breaking up and rekindling their romance. Sheree said on RHOA that she dated him for eight months before he was sentenced to prison in 2013. "I had no idea he had left!" "We split up," she revealed. He didn't want to get her involved in any of it, so they stopped talking before he went to prison."

Tyrone received a ten-year sentence for wire fraud. The former collegiate football player was accused of defrauding investors and using the money to maintain an extravagant lifestyle that included parties, fancy automobiles, and high-priced travel. Long-time RHOA viewers may recall Sheree's epic battle with NeNe Leakes over a party Gilliams was planning and for which he wanted to hire both Sheree and NeNe as hostesses. NeNe's ironic comment about being a "very rich bi**h" came from the verbal spat.

The duo had fought because Sheree allegedly tried to spring a camera crew on him back in November when he was on home confinement at the time and wasn't able to leave the house for any reason even filming. So he fired off a cease and desist to NBC, Bravo and production company Truly Original asking for removing every trace of him from 'RHOA' footage, social media posts, and advertising that used his name. Once his confinement ended, he hashed out a deal with Truly Original which led to him filming mid-February.

The show is set to air on May 1, on Bravo TV.
