'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 13: Who is Drew Sidora? Here's all you need to know about the new housewife
With the exit of Eva Marcille and Nene Leakes from 'Real Housewives of Atlanta', fans began wondering who would be taking the spot of these two housewives on Season 13. After months of speculation, Bravo has finally announced the details of the new cast member who will be appearing on the show. The new housewife is none other than Drew Sidora.
Don't be too surprised if Drew looks familiar, for the actress has appeared in several hit movies and shows like 'Step Up' and 'That's So Raven'. In the trailer released by the network, we get a glimpse of the new housewife who declares that she's bringing 'flavor' to Atlanta. Originally hailing from Chicago, Drew carved a niche for herself in the showbiz as an actress, producer, and singer.
Aside from her keen interest in Hollywood, Drew is also extremely passionate about giving back and supporting youth. The new housewife founded her charity organization 'DREAMMAKERS' in 2013. The organization advocates to transform, energize, inspire and entertain young women in need. Drew is married to Ralph Pittman, and the couple has three children together.
According to her Bravo bio, we will be getting a peek of cracks in her marriage. The bio reveals, "Drew joins the group as the newest housewife, ready to make some waves and spice things up. In addition to her career, Drew has a lot on her plate as a loving wife and mother to her three little ones. From getting ready to direct her first feature film to move into her dream home, this year is a wild ride."
In an interview with Us Weekly, Drew revealed that her husband and she are currently seeking marriage counseling to work on their issues. She said, "It was unexpected. My husband, before filming, he left for three days and I truly didn’t know where he was. My mom had a front seat to all of it. So, I’m involving her in that way. I had just gone through three surgeries. It was really hard for me. Having multiple surgeries, him being my caregiver, my mom living with us… It was a lot. And that’s what happened.”
She added: “Throughout the season, you’ll see us kind of working on issues that we may have put on the back burner. And now being in this position, we’re forced to have these hard conversations and really deal with the issues in our marriage. I mean, my husband, as you will meet Ralph Pittman, he is, you know, a character. He just says whatever he feels. And this marriage counselor, he really respects. And I think she’s really been helping both of us to see each other’s perspective. We are actively in counseling now.”
The new housewife will be accompanied by returning housewives — Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moora, and Kandi Burruss, on the upcoming season of 'RHOA'.
'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 13 will premiere on December 6, at 8/7c on Bravo.
