'RHOA' star NeNe Leakes' manager squashes rumors of her getting fired from show after Internet erupts in shock
When blogger B Scott reported that fan-favorite housewife NeNe Leakes had been fired from Season 13 of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta', fans were totally taken by surprise. Scott claimed that the reality star didn't receive her contract renewal letter when it was sent to her other co-stars. As soon as fans heard the news they began panicking at the thought of watching the hit reality show without NeNe. Several took to their Twitter to express how the show wouldn't be the same without the OG housewife.
A fan wrote, "If it’s true that Bravo has also fired Kenya and NeNe, but kept Kandi and Cynthia — #RHOA is done.' Another fan shared, "The only way I’d watch RHOA if it's true NeNe has been fired is if they reboot the entire cast. Completely fresh faces. All of them." "Ratings will once again dip low and they'll have no other choice and bring NeNe back. Psst NeNe leave their pocket like rabbit ears. Andy will come calling," tweeted a fan. Another fan commented, "Bad move @BravoTV. NeNe gives iconic reads. What you should do is keep NeNe & bring back Phaedra."
Thankfully fans don't have to worry about missing out on watching their favorite housewife on RHOA. NeNe's manager Steven Grossman squashed all the claims about the reality star's firing from the show. In an interview with HollywoodLife, he said, "It is absolutely not true that NeNe has been fired from RHOA. Furthermore, it was made abundantly clear prior that she will always be welcome on the series as long as she wants to be." He added, "We are having on-going bigger picture conversations with NBC Universal and have not made any decisions regarding next season specifically. Any speculation or sources trying to create controversy by stating otherwise are incredibly inaccurate."
NeNe was at the center of a lot of drama during Season 12 of RHOA. Things got so heated during the reunion special of the season that the housewife simply walked out of the virtual reunion and never returned back. Earlier this year, NeNe made headlines when her close friend and talk show host Wendy Williams declared that the housewife would be quitting the show. NeNe called out Wendy for putting their private conversations in public and squashed all rumors of her leaving the show. We can't wait for Season 13 of RHOA with all the casting drama surrounding it.
