'Renovation, Inc.': Steve and Allison want gym, kids' play area in their basement, can the Baeumlers help them?
While still working on Katelyn's house's renovation, Bryan and Sarah Baeumler took on a new project. On the latest episode of 'Renovation, Inc.', the Baeumlers went to visit Steve and Allison, who recently relocated to the city and wanted to make some changes to their current home. Allison, who happens to be an athlete, is keen on having a gym in the basement, while her husband wants a television there.
So, Steve and Allison turn to Bryan and Sarah for help. After visiting the house and checking the basement, Bryan and Sarah agree that the basement is big enough for both a gym and also as an entertainment area. When Allison hears them mention entertainment, she makes it clear that she isn't interested in entertaining any guests. The couple then wonders if it's possible to even include a kids' play area in the basement.
Bryan and Sarah understand Allison's need to ensure that there's some indoor entertainment for the kids aside from television. They then assure her that they'll do the best they can. Then the subject of the budget was brought in. Allison reveals that they have a budget of $80,000 for everything. Bryan immediately realizes that the couple might want to once again relook at the work they want to get done to their house, and the work that needs to be done so that the budget can be utilized efficiently.
After Sarah crunched the numbers, she realizes that their client's wishlist costs about $86,000. She then visits their house once again and tries to come up with design and decor ideas. While Sarah is busy with the new project, Bryan is neck-deep into Katelyn's renovation work. Bryan and his crew discover a huge mistake with the measurements of the fireplace. So, they work on rectifying it.
Later, towards the end of the episode, we see Katelyn returning from her trip and making a visit to her house to check on the progress made. She was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful everything looked, and couldn't even locate any error with the fireplace. She then enquires with Bryan if he was happy with the work and the pace at which things were going. He tells her that he was happy and satisfied with it, and assures her that they are trying their best to complete the house before the holidays.
