Reese Witherspoon stops by Hollywood Walk of Fame to clean her own star

There's a reason why Reese Witherspoon has made a successful career in comedy. She gave her Instagram followers a glimpse into her daily life on February 26, by filming a visit to a "friend" on Hollywood Boulevard. She said, "I'm running a little bit late for work today, but it's really important. I heard my friend is really close by, so I wanna go meet her really quick, and I want you guys to meet her, too."

The "friend" turned out to be an inanimate object, as she then shared a video saying, "This is so exciting, guys. Here she is," before kneeling down next to her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She began wiping it down and getting rid of all the dirt that had accumulated on it while people laughed and said, "Oh my God" in the background.

Reese began talking to her star, saying, "Oh, now you're looking good, girl!" in her trademark southern drawl, still vigorously wiping it. She then admonished it, telling it, "Don't you let people walk all over you. I know you're on the street, but don't you do that. You're a queen," as laughter rang in the background. She ended the story with a video of her cleaned-up star.

She then posted a picture of her beaming next to her spruced-up star with the caption, "When you run into a friend on the street…⭐️🌟⭐️ (Check out my stories for the visit!)" Comments on the post were extremely positive, with people writing, "Cute!!!", "You deserve it. 😊," "Beautiful picture," and "Congrats!!! Can’t wait to see #awrinkleintime !!!" with the last comment referring to Reese's upcoming movie.

Reese has indeed been busy over the past week, having been spotted in Anaheim's Disneyland with Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, and Storm Reid to promote her new Disney film A Wrinkle in Time, set to hit theaters on March 9, 2018. Reese plays an astral traveler called Mrs.Whatsit who helps a girl find and rescue her father on another planet.

Reese was also one of the keynote speakers at the Watermark Conference for Women in San Jose on Friday, where she spoke out in support of the #MeToo Movement, saying, "We have to share and protect each other from unsafe work environments. It's imperative that we aren't silent with our sisters."

She called for women to be represented in politics, adding, "We're chipping away at this problem by coming at it the way we know how. But we cannot continue to exist in an environment where we're not represented. We will never have our rights if we do not elect more women."
