What happened in 'Red Swan' Episode 2?

In Episode 2, Kim Yong-guk (Jung Gyu-woon) and Oh Wan-soo (Kim Ha-neul) meet their new security personnel, Seo Do-yoon (Rain), whom Wan-soo recognizes as the person who saved her from an attack in Manila. The scene shifts to a lavish party thrown by Yong-guk and Wan-soo, triggering Wan-soo's nostalgic memories of her childhood in the 1990s.

These flashbacks reveal a time when she was loved by everyone, meanwhile the major highlights were her bad relationship with her mother-in-law and her husband's family. Her mother handed her golf clubs, encouraging her to practice.

Wan-soo excelled in golf, winning numerous championships. In 2010, she left for the US, severing ties with her mother, who had spent all her winnings. Back at the event, Wan-soo gives a heartfelt speech but soon discovers Yong-guk having an affair with an assistant. Confronting them, she reveals she already knew about their affair.

Despite her heartbreak, Wan-soo dances with Yong-guk at the party. Later, her mother-in-law humiliates her, leading Wan-soo to smash glasses in frustration, declaring she won't divorce Yong-guk to avoid losing everything. Another flashback shows Wan-soo meeting Yong-guk in Africa in 2011 and enduring her mother-in-law's cruelty.

Returning to the present, a drunk Wan-soo tries to walk but collapses. Seo Do-yoon helps her and, despite her advances, refuses to sleep with her. Yong-guk attempts to check on Wan-soo, but a bodyguard intercepts him, ensuring she is left undisturbed.

In Seoul, Seo Do-yoon sets up his office in the Hwan mansion, discovering an SD card with a significant secret about the Hwan Group hidden in a picture of his late friend.
