LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: With Valentine's Day almost here, Netflix is preparing to release an original series. Titled 'Red Rose', this series is set in Bolton, UK, where a group of teenagers' high school summer is disrupted by a mysterious and deadly "Red Rose" app that infiltrates their smartphones and leads to the death of one of their friends. The app ruins the friendship of the tight-knit group and poses a danger to their lives and the ones around them. With no one to trust, it is up to the group to save themselves and solve the mystery of their friend's death. This suspense thriller drama has eight episodes. The series originally aired on BBC Three.

Created by Michael and Paul Clarkson, this series is directed by Lisa Siwe, Ramón Salazar and Henry Blake. The main cast of this thriller includes Amelia Clarkson as Wren Davis, Natalie Blair as Ashley Banister, Ellis Howard as Antony Longwell, Ali Khan as Tariq 'Taz' Sadiq, Ashna Rabheru as Jaya Mahajan, Harry Redding as Noah Royston, Natalie Gavin as Rachel Davis, Adam Nagaitis as Rick Bennett, Isis Hainsworth as Rochelle Mason and Samuel Anderson as Vinny Mason. 5. 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina'

'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina' is based on a spin-off of the Archie comics of the same name. Unlike the Melissa Joan Hart-starrer back in the '90s, this show replaces the infectious humor with pure horror. In the reimagined story, set in the fictional town of Greendale, Sabrina tries to balance her dual life of half-witch and half-mortal all the while trying live normally. However, the choice is not easy. For Sabrina is torn between her family on her witch side and her friends on the mortal side as she has to pick a world on her 16th birthday. The story is told in a fast-paced way, with all the horror elements presented as a dark and delightful ride. Kiernan Shipka plays Sabrina Spellman, Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle and Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardwell. The series consists of two seasons, each consisting of two parts and a total of 36 episodes.

4. 'All of Us Are Dead'

'All of Us Are Dead' is a South Korean zombie series starring Park Ji-hu as Nam On-jo, Yi-Hyun Cho as Choi Nam-ra and Chan-Young Yoon as Lee Cheong-san. 'All of Us Are Dead' is about a high school that becomes the epicentre of a deadly zombie apocalypse. The students trapped inside the school must find a way to stay safe in this nail-biting series. Though there are numerous zombie shows and movies online, 'All of Us Are Dead' stands out with its grounding narrative, emotional impact, thriller aspect and the cast's performance. Season 1 of 'All of Us Are Dead' consists of 12 episodes and Season 2 is on the way.

3. 'The Midnight Club'

Based on the book of the same name by Christopher Pike, 'The Midnight Club' is created by Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong. The story revolves around a group of eight terminally-ill children at Brightcliffe Hospice, who sneak out and convene every midnight to tell scary stories. The group promises each other that they will communicate from beyond the grave once they die. The story is presented in an engaging way with emotional and horror elements. Along with stellar performances from the lead cast and the eerie setting, the show keeps getting better after each episode. The series has one season with a total of 10 episodes.

2. 'Black Mirror'

If you want to watch stories that unsettle you and make you squirm in your seat, then 'Black Mirror' is the perfect choice. 'Black Mirror' is an anthology series that tells you stories about the dark side of technology. The main focus of each episode remains on how technological advancement is not always a good thing, especially in the hands of the corrupt. The series has five seasons and a total of 22 episodes, including one special. Season 6 will be out soon.

1. 'Alice in Borderland'

Directed by Shinsuke Sato, 'Alice In Borderland' is a Japanese survival series that mixes elements of horror, thrillers and action perfectly. Based on the manga of the same name, 'Alice in Borderland' follows the story of a gamer and his two friends getting trapped in a parallel Tokyo where the only way to survive ids to play deadly games. The series gives credence to the old saying, "Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea," as people have two choices: play the games and they mau survive or they die after being shot by a laser from the sky. The cast comprises Kento Yamazaki as Ryohei Arisu, Tao Tsuchiya as Yuzuha Usagi and Eleanor Noble as Yuzuha Usagi. The series has released two seasons so far with a total of 16 episodes.
