As Bella Hadid gears up to be on the cover of 5 Vogue issues, here are some of our all-time favourite covers
It looks like September is going to be quite a month for Victoria’s Secret model Bella Hadid. The leggy lass is set to appear on five covers of the Vogue magazine this month, namely Vogue Australia, Vogue Arabia, Vogue Brazil, Vogue China, and Vogue Spain, reported Inquirer.
With this, Hadid leaves behind Dutch model Doutzen Kroes, who appeared on four covers -- Vogue China, Vogue Netherlands, Vogue Spain and Vogue Italy – in September 2013. This may just open a lot of avenues for the model as the September issue is considered to be the most important of the year.
The September issue is known to be the most awaited, is the bulkiest and sells the most as it marks a change in the season from Spring/Summer to Autumn/Winter and this shift is often considered a time to reinvent oneself.
Wow.. Thank you...September Issue of @voguearabia Shot by Mr. Incredible, Karl Lagerfeld.. I am so honored and proud to be on this cover of Vogue Arabia, not only to be shot by the one and only Karl, to be touched by the legend @peterphilipsmakeup and hair done up by the unrivaled @sammcknight1 styled by the one and only @amandaharlech ❤️... but specifically to represent and cherish my half-Palestinian blood from my father and his strong, loving, wonderful Arab side of my family. This cover is in honor of my teta Khair Hadid, my family, and my Arab/Muslim friends out there..❤️Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of the newest international Vogue and thank you Vogue Arabia for continuing to celebrate and accept all different cultures and customs the way we all should❤️🕊
Meanwhile, the year 2017 is turning out to be quite remarkable for Hadid. Not just the Vogue covers, good news also came in the form of a Victoria’s Secret assignment. The 20-year-old has once again been chosen to walk the runway during the show, which is scheduled to be held in Shanghai this year.
Accompanying her will be her sister Gigi Hadid, but the duo will miss the presence of their close friend Kendall Jenner, who has been omitted from the line-up this year. Though rumours had it that Victoria’s Secret could have dropped Jenner this year due to the Pepsi ad fiasco, it is now being said that the 22-year-old model has signed a deal with Italian brand La Perla and hence cannot model for any other lingerie brand.
While we are looking forward to the Bella Hadid Vogue covers, here are five covers of the fashion bible, which have made quite a mark in the past.
Princess Diana, British Vogue, October 1997
Gisele Bundchen, Kate Moss, Lauren Hutton, and Iman Abdulmajid, US Vogue, 1999
