Claire Underwood takes centre stage in the new teaser of 'House of Cards'
Kevin Spacey won't be reprising his role as disgraced former president Frank Underwood
Netflix has released its brand-new trailer for 'House of Cards', featuring Claire Underwood as the freshly elected President of the United States.
Robin Wright plays the part of no-nonsense-taking Claire Underwood. In the teaser, Claire is now in command, seated with confidence behind the Oval Office desk. Spinning around as the camera pans towards her, Claire says "We're just getting started," boasting a confident smile with her attitude. The tagline following that reads "Hail to the Chief".
Fans were thrilled with Robin Wright's ascension to the throne.
Am I the only one who thinks there should be more than just one final, shortened season of #houseofcards with Robin Wright in charge?— John Boitnott (@jboitnott) March 5, 2018
Robin was decidedly chosen to continue the 'House of Cards' storyline following the sexual allegations made against Kevin Spacey.
Spacey played Frank Underwood and got booted off the show when the allegations of sexual harassment were made against him by actor Anthony Rapp. Netflix immediately booted Spacey off the show and cut the ending of the series shorter.
What will the new Chief in Command bring to the table? Will Claire give 'House of Cards' a well-deserved breath of life? We can only wait and find out. The new season premiers sometime this year.
