This father thought his son was too handsome, and decided to find out why...with shocking consequences
Ever looked at your son and thought to yourself: "He's just too darn handsome, there's no way my wife and I produced that level of good-looks." Probably not, but one father in China certainly did. And if you thought that was bad, the son, Wanh Ye, is 28!
According to Kanka News, not only did the father suspect something was amiss, but even his wife reckoned the father just wasn't dreamy enough to produce a son that dishy.
"[My son] has big eyes and a high nose bridge. His father is not very good looking and is quite different [from my son]," she said.
So when the parents split up, probably to push the divorce proceedings in his favor, the father (name withheld) decided to do a DNA test to confirm his suspicions that the child wasn't his. What he found out, however, would stun both him and his wife.
A DNA test found that not only was the father right in thinking that the son wasn't his, but the son wasn't the mothers either!
According to the report, Wang Ye turned out not to be related to either of them and may have been accidentally handed over to the former couple when he was born at Shanghai Hospital, in 1989.
"I still cannot believe it. After all, we have lived together for such a long time. I cannot accept the fact," Wang Ye told Kanka News.
Wanh's 'parents' split in 2004 after the husband accused the wife of infidelity, but they had only just got around to taking the DNA test.
The mother is now suing Shanghai Hospital for 1.3 million yuan (£146,000) and has vowed to find her biological son.
She has also promised to help Wang Ye locate his "real" parents.
