Nigella Lawson has earned a name for herself as a celebrity chef and host of TV shows. Now, it's time for something new.
It looks like celebrity chef Nigella Lawson is looking to do something new after having achieved a status as a chef and TV show host globally. From what we hear, the 57-year-old telly chef is now training to be a yoga instructor.
Her fans know how she loves having red wine with her meals and when she gets together with friends. However, Nigella has given up drinking alcohol in order to get into top shape. Now, she is training to be a professional yoga instructor.
Nigella, who has been sporting a svelte figure of late, revealed in an earlier interview with Daily Mail that yoga was the secret to her trim figure and that she never denies herself hearty calorific treats. Nigella has gone down from size 16 to size 12, which she revealed is due to yoga and stretching.
"I do yoga three times a week," Nigella said in an interview with Good Housekeeping. She added, "I love traditional British food, and I'm never going to complain about having a pie! Roast chicken is my favorite food."
Nigella got hooked to slow yoga in 2015, after trying out everything from Pilates to personal trainers and various diets, and has not stopped since then. She has earlier practiced Iyengar yoga and rejects the idea of a traditional diet.
She told Good Housekeeping in 2015, "I have never been on a diet to try to lose weight. I feel like I haven't lost weight, but I’m possibly in better shape. I am doing a rather slow form of yoga now called Iyengar. Yoga certainly makes you feel great, and you want to carry on feeling great."
According to sources, Nigella has already held yoga lessons for her friends and is hoping to launch her own yoga classes for public soon. A friend of Nigella said, "She is an amazing yoga instructor. She has worked really hard to learn everything there is to know about yoga."
