Transgender Big Brother star Rebekah Shelton is NOT dead. Here's proof

Rebekah Shelton has said that she is working on catching the culprit who spread the vile rumor.

Rebekah Shelton, the transgender Big Brother star, is alive and well, despite rumors that would suggest otherwise. The Brazilian actress, who was born Rodrigo Lopes, was announced to be dead by her own official Twitter page, and the same tweet requested that fans respect her family's privacy.

The announcement of the "death" had read, "We're sorry to inform every one of the sad news that our wonderful and lovely Rebekah died unexpectedly on Wednesday night. We ask that you respect the family's privacy at this time."

The beloved former Big Brother star received an outpouring of love from friends, family, fans and well-wishers, who were all obviously heartbroken.

Fortunately, though, it turns out, Rebekah is alive and she is vacationing in Saudi Arabia. After catching wind of the rumors that are spreading about her, the reality star has recorded a video to tell her fans that she is alright.

In the video she also speaks about the person behind the vile act is unable to "accept the fact that I am happy, that I overcame all my problems and that I am finally living my life happy." It is understood that her lawyers are working hard to get the harshest punishment for the person behind the cruel act. She also shows a spectacular view from the window of her hotel and reveals that she is vacationing.

Rebekah's fans were ecstatic to learn about the news that she is alive, but very well wished they did not have to go through the emotional roller coaster. However, a few of them were able to see some sort of humor in the terrible situation.

Anyone who has followed Rebekkah's journey through the years know that she has had to go through a lot, to become the confident woman that she is today. She had to struggle with the fact that her family did not accept her as a transgender person and even opened up about it to Ok!

She spoke about having to leave her home before surgery because of this and having to turn to prostitution for survival. "So many times, I wanted to kill myself because I had no one to talk to," she said in the heartbreaking interview.

It is unfathomable that anyone would want to give this woman hell after everything she has been through. At least we can take solace in the fact that she is alright.
