Tragic news rocks the lives of Teen Mom 3's Mackenzie McKee and family
All of Twitter has been sending positive messages to the family.
Reality star Mackenzie McKee has had a tragic start to the New Year, with her mother Angie Douthit getting diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer on Wednesday. According to a source quoted by TMZ, doctors detected five large lesions covering Angie's brain, masses on her lungs and blood clots all over her body while conducting an exploratory surgery.
The 23-year-old reality star shared the heartbreaking news over a series of tweets, while also revealing that she hasn't "cried this hard in over ten years." The family had actually taken Angie to the hospital because they thought she had bronchitis and was shocked to learn the actual reason behind her illness.

Especially considering how healthy and fit Angie was, the news has shocked many of her dear friends and family members. Much like her daughter, Angie also often competes in marathons and awareness runs frequently. In fact, she recently completed a diabetes awareness run in November.
Mackenzee has also revealed that her mom is "the healthiest person I know" and revealed that she works out daily. Angie also does not smoke or drink, nor does the disease run in their family.
There has been a huge outpouring of love and prayers for Mackenzee and her family since she revealed the news:

Angie, whose social media life gives us a window into the wholesome person that she is, seems to be fighting the deadly disease bravely. Mackenzee had shared a photo of her mother, a school teacher, on the hospital bed, "threatening" her doctors.
Mackenzee has also shared a collage of her strong and beautiful mother to express what she means to her. She captioned it, "The most amazing woman I know. She taught me everything I know. She is the only reason i am the woman I am today. I love you Mom. I’m devastated, I’m angry, I’m shook.m, I can’t breath. You are everything. Please pray @angiedouthit"
Here's wishing Angie a very speedy and full recovery.
