After nearly breaking the internet with a possible reunion photo, Victoria Beckham confirms that the girls will not be going on tour.
The Spice Girls were recently responsible for almost breaking the internet. The group's former members posted photos on their social media that hinted at a possible reunion.
And fans were expectedly excited.
The pictures of Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner gave fans hope for a "Spice World" reunion tour.
However, all hopes of a reunion were crushed after Victoria addressed the reports of a reunion, saying it was not happening.
Speaking to Vogue, Posh Spice said: “I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour,”
So what came of the meeting? Victoria said that the group had lots of fun brainstorming. “There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming,” she said.
“You know, there’s so much bad stuff going on, and the Spice Girls were about fun and celebrating individuality. I think there’s so much that the brand can do, and it’s such a positive message for young kids." Victoria said.
With a new wave of feminism on the horizon, a Spice Girl reunion doesn't seem out of place. The band is known to embrace girl power and has been an inspiration to young girls everywhere.
Also, we really really, really wanna zigga zig-ah.
