Kim Kardashian says she finds surrogacy even more difficult than pregnancy, but no one's buying it
She feels blessed but is having a problem navigating through this new journey.
Kim Kardashian has had two difficult pregnancies with North and Saint, but that experience seems better than surrogacy...or so she says. The Keeping up with the Kardashians star doesn't like the fact that she doesn't have any control.
This experience is taking her a while to get used to. So far, she's not spoken about her third baby, which is due in January, but Kanye West's wife has started to open up about the difficulties that surrogacy poses.
She said that surrogacy is not the easy route most people believe it to be. "You know, it is really different. Anyone that says or thinks it is just the easy way out is just completely wrong. I think it is so much harder to go through it this way because you are not really in control," she told Entertainment Tonight.
Kim finds it difficult that she's not carrying her third baby, a daughter who will be the latest addition to her family with the rapper. She said that couples who go for surrogacy should obviously choose a person they trust, but even that doesn't offset the anxiety of not knowing and not being in control.
"But it is still a process that you need to digest. Even the fact that it is happening — and you do forget sometimes — because I think when you are pregnant, by the time you have the baby, you are so prepared and so ready, and now I am just like, ‘Oh my God, I am going to freak out because I’m not ready and I’m not prepared,’ but it’ll just all [fall] into place," Kim said.
The 37-year-old is reportedly annoyed at her surrogate as she wants to deliver Kim's baby in San Diego instead of Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.
According to Life&Style Magazine, Kim's surrogate plans to have the baby in her hometown and this inconveniences Kimye. The couple will have to travel to San Diego, a two-hour drive from Los Angeles and put their life on hold until the baby is delivered.
A source told the outlet that Kim is disappointed. The reality star delivered her first two babies in Cedars Sinai, a luxury hospital with spa-like facilities for pregnant moms.
Kim's maternity suite cost between $2800 to $4000 a night and had three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The luxury suite also had a dining room, lounge area, and complimentary robes. However, Kim's third baby will most probably have a low-key delivery.
Just recently, Kim threw a baby shower for her third child. The venue, decorated with cherry blossoms, included some of Kim's closest family and friends who appeared on her Instagram and Snapchat stories.
However, fans noticed that Kim's surrogate wasn't to be seen. What followed was a social media storm; many accused her of deliberately excluding the surrogate.
One person wrote on Twitter, "So did @KimKardashian at least invite her #surrogate to her Rose pink themed #babyshower?!?" This sentiment was echoed by another Twitter user who wrote, "Do you think Kim Kardashian invited the surrogate to her baby shower?"
