Kristin was enjoying some alone time with boyfriend Andrew Gregory when one of them accidentally hit a button on her mobile phone, activating Instagram's live stream feature
Canadian Instagram star, Kristen Hancher, got a taste of the perils of social media when she accidentally went live while having sex with her boyfriend! Yes, that happened. Fortunately, nothing was seen... only heard.
Kristen was enjoying some alone time with boyfriend Andrew Gregory when one of them accidentally hit a button on her mobile phone, activating Instagram's live stream feature. The couple's steamy session was broadcast for three whole minutes to Kristen’s 3.9 million followers. Thankfully, the phone was kept face-down but managed to pick up audio.
About 14,000 people were tuned in at the time, with her fans leaving a flurry of comments freaking out on her behalf. Later on, Kristen posted an apology to her fans saying, "sh*t happens..."
"Whoever saw my live, I just wanna apologize; that was totally NOT intentional. Delete it from your mind. That was super embarrassing and super uncomfortable.
But for real, guys, shit happens. Accidents happen. You have to move and pretend like it never happened and go on with your life. That’s what I’m gonna do."
She added: "I apologize to all my fan pages. I know you all have been upset because I never gave you guys a full explanation. On what happened on my live. On my Instastory. I accidentally went live and found out three minutes later and 14,000 people were watching. I am so sorry."
Kristin even left comments on various fan pages, with one note reading: "Hope everyone understands it was a total accident." The online star later posted a picture and wrote: "Shit happens, you have to move on and keep smiling. Love you guys so much."
Kristen Hancher, 18, grew to fame posting short musical.ly videos, which involves her lip-syncing snippets from songs and movies. She and her boyfriend Andrew have been living together for a year and a half.
It is not the first time a social media star has made their followers cringe.
According to The Sun, in June YouTuber Lele Pons was accused of lying in an Instagram post where she claimed to have cut off her hair to donate it to charity. An eagle-eyed student discovered that Pons was actually holding up hair extensions and passing them off as her real hair.
Cassie Martin, from Washington, had to put up with her dad Chris trolling her on social media by hilariously recreating her sexy selfies.
