Love and Hip Hop's Hazel E said "all gays should burn in hell”, but that's not why she was sacked from show
Hazel E and beau Rose Burgundy dug huge holes for themselves while refuting allegations about the latter's bisexuality.
Hazel E has had a very messy run on this season of Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood. Name any cast member of the show and the odds are, she probably had a tussle with them. The messiness now seems to have spilled off camera too, with Hazel now going after the entire LGBT community and she has since been fired from the Vh1 reality show – but, not in that order.
For the uninitiated, Hazel’s latest storyline on LHHH: Hollywood involves a boyfriend who goes by the name Rose Burgundy. While the two are often seen getting hot and heavy with each other, rumour mills churned out stories of Burgundy simultaneously having the hots for his own gender.
The man who first claimed that he was gay, Camyonce, provided DM proof that he not only was cheating on Hazel, but that he's at least bisexual. Slightly off topic: He was reportedly also planning to cheat on Hazel with comedian Jess Hilarious.
The couple did what any self-righteous celebrity would do, try and clear up the rumours. Just kidding. They went about 100 steps beyond that sane reaction. Burgundy’s response was to post a picture of a rainbow flag in flames with the following caption on Instagram: “You really want to know how I feel about gays so bad well here you go I hope all gays die and go to hell thats where I’m come from Bitch check your lies before you post.[sic]”
His lady love topped it up with the comment “Burn in hell just like God said in the Bible! [sic]”, before posting “Y’all making up posts, I’m stating facts. Go read the Bible, Google self-hatred amongst black women then come holla at this Queen,” on her own profile.
You’d think that’s bad, but things just got worse from there. Hazel then went on to post now-deleted photos of her enemies on Love and Hip Hop, including Jess, Yandy and Moniece, calling them “raggedy broke black ass bitches”. Hazel says they are jealous of her because they cannot pass the “brown paper bag test", meaning they aren’t light-skinned like her.
She has since clarified that her post is not targeted at all dark-skinned black women, but only her enemies who are dark-skinned. Then again, she wrote this on her post: “Sorry mom you kept me away from these type of girls all my life, you said they would hate me because I’m light skin… you were right[sic].”
Now we’re all caught up on why Kat Williams’ ex-girlfriend whose career in Hip Hop has been struggling for years on end is trending. She said some terrible homophobic, racist things, and now we know she has been fired from her show.
Turns out Hazel was fired from Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood two weeks prior to this incident. The producers of the show have been annoyed with her since the taping of the reunion show back in September.
We know not what Hazel did in close quarters to infuriate the show-makers, but if her public persona is anything to go by, it couldn’t have been anything that could have been brushed off easily.
