Check out Gigi Hadid's amazing response to this Islamophobic tweet after NYC attack

The model shut down the right-leaning journalist for posting an Islamophobic tweet.

It seems like Gigi Hadid has turned a new leaf during Donald Trump's presidency. The model has been vocal in her criticism of Trump's travel ban, and once said that she's a proud Muslim. So we aren't all that surprised when Gigi shut down a right-leaning journalist who posted an Islamophobic tweet after the attack in Lower Manhattan in New York City.

The Victoria's Secret supermodel called out Laura Loomer, a political activist and journalist, who posted a picture of two Muslim women wearing a headscarf and tweeted, "Muslims are out in full force at the scene of the NYC #ISIS attack today rubbing it in everyone's face. Aimlessly walking around in hijabs."

In response, Gigi fired back at the journalist. She called the Trump supporter a "f---ing moron." The model tweeted, "Laura, I hate to give you the attention, but I need to tell you- You're a f**king moron." Gigi's tweet earned her the praise of her fans and pretty much reigned Twitter for a whole day. The model's loyal army supported her as well and voiced their opinion against Islamaphobia.

The journalist however didn't take Gigi's tweet so well. She retweeted and proceeded to attack the model for being a "liberal hater." She added that she stood by what she said because the muslim women happened to be smiling when they walked past the scene of the crime. In a series of tweets, she said that she would rather say the truth and make someone cry instead of telling a lie.

The conservative activist, who worked for James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas group earlier, also posted tweets against Muslim uber drivers. She said she was late to the NYPD conference because she couldn't find an uber driver who wasn't Muslim. A few hours later, she was banned from Uber and Lyft for violating their community guidelines. This isn't the first time that Uber has banned certain passengers from using their services.

According to Gizmodo, the cab service disallowed Tim “Baked Alaska” Gionet, James Allsup, and Matthew “Millennial Matt” Colligan, who started a fight with an African-American cab driver during the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

On Wednesday, New York City was hit by a terrorist attack when 29-year-old Sayfullo Saipov drove his car into pedestrians and cyclists in Lower Manhatten, killing eight people and injuring 11 others. The uber driver now faces federal terrorism charges. Saipov, a native of Uzbekistan, said he was "inspired" by the Islamic State. According to BBC, Saipov planned the attack for a year and originally planned to attack the Brooklyn bridge.
