Coleen and Wayne Rooney put on a strong face and welcome their fourth baby

Although Wayne and Coleen Rooney's marriage has been rocked by scandal in the past few months, the couple put a strong face during the birth of their fourth son.

Wayne Rooney's wife, Coleen, has given birth to her fourth son, Cass Mac.

The 31-year-old WAG tweeted early Thursday that the couple welcomed their new baby, who weighs 8lbs 10oz.

She wrote, "So Happy to welcome our Baby Boy …. Cass Mac Rooney into the world weighing a healthy 8lb 10oz. He is beautiful," and ended the tweet with a blue heart.

The Everton player announced the birth of his son on Twitter as well amid a flurry of congratulations from his teammates.

According to Daily Mail, Wayne stayed back in England on Wednesday while his teammates flew to Dubai for their warm weather training.

That Wayne was present during Coleen's delivery sent out a strong message that their marriage hasn't crumbled.

In the past few months, the Rooneys were scarred by scandal after the footballer was found drunken driving along with party girl, Laura Silverman. The two were stopped by a policeman in Cheshire in September 2017.

In the months after the scandal, it seemed as if Coleen and Wayne's nine-year marriage had come to an end. Coleen released a statement on Facebook in October 2017 that her marriage could dissolve. A month later, however, she was seen with her wedding ring and wrote on the social media website that she had forgiven her husband.

"I know I would be fine on my own with just me and my children, but I don't want to live like that, I want to try and continue our marriage and live as a family because that's what I want to do," Coleen wrote.

The couple shares three kids, Kai, 8, Klay, 4, and Kit, 2. Coleen and Wayne, who started dating when they were just 16, exchanged their vows in 2008 at the Villa Durazzo, a 17th century palace in the resort of Santa Margherita Ligure in Italy.
